Sometimes a person crosses your path who ends up having a significant impact on your life. Tupac was one of those people to for me. I had the privilege of sharing space with him during the last year of his life. He may have only been 25 when he died, but he was force to be reckoned with. He's judged by many, but never given the credit he deserves for actually being that rose that grew from concrete. He was the child of a revolutionary, raised in the revolution. He was a witness to more adversity, violence and injustice by the age of 14, than most people will ever see in a life time. He was the product of hundreds of years of persecution and bondage. He was a bright light that was extinguished far sooner than it should have been.
These images were captured in 1996. They paint a more authentic picture of Tupac than, what the media has portrayed of him thus far.
This page will eventually become a large collection of photos and art inspired by the photos, that will be added to, weekly. Enjoy!
